Which Fabric is Right for You? Choose Oxford fabric for maximum portability, polyester canvas for lightweight durability, or polycotton canvas for superior comfort and all-season performance.
 
1. Oxford Fabric
Typically ranges from 150gsm to 300gsm, making it the lightest option available. Strong, lightweight, and easy to transport, it is ideal for camping, touring, and portable shelter applications.
Oxford fabric is a tough, lightweight material designed for reliable outdoor performance. Its distinctive basket-weave construction enhances strength and tear resistance while maintaining excellent portability. Manufactured from high-quality polyester or nylon and finished with waterproof coatings, it delivers dependable protection against the elements.
Polyester versions offer outstanding UV and mould resistance, while nylon provides exceptional strength with minimal weight. Available in a range of denier ratings, Oxford fabric balances durability and packability, making it ideal for camping, touring, event, and commercial tents. Strong, weather-resistant, and easy to handle, it’s a practical choice for demanding Australian conditions
 
2. Polyester Canvas
Typically ranges from 250gsm to 400gsm. It offers an excellent balance of strength, durability, and weight, making it a popular choice for regular outdoor use.
Built for tough Australian conditions, our premium polyester canvas combines the classic look of traditional canvas with the strength and durability of modern synthetic fibres. The cross-weave construction delivers excellent tear, abrasion, and puncture resistance for long-lasting performance.
Naturally, moisture-resistant and quick-drying, it's ideal for outdoor use and can be fully waterproofed for added protection. Unlike cotton canvas, it resists mould, mildew and rot while providing excellent UV resistance and colour retention.
The fabric also maintains its shape over time, preventing stretching, sagging, or shrinkage. Strong, lightweight, and low maintenance, polyester canvas is designed to perform reliably in demanding environments.
 
3. Polycotton Canvas
Typically ranges from 280gsm to 400gsm. As the heaviest option, it provides outstanding breathability, comfort, and insulation, making it ideal for extended stays and demanding conditions.
Our premium polycotton canvas combines the natural comfort of cotton with the strength and durability of polyester, delivering outstanding performance in Australian conditions. The breathable fabric helps keep interiors cooler in summer and warmer in winter while significantly reducing condensation.
Naturally weather-resistant, the cotton fibres expand when wet to help prevent water ingress, while the polyester content promotes faster drying. Highly resistant to UV exposure and everyday wear, polycotton is built for long-term outdoor use. Its thicker, softer construction also reduces wind noise, creating a quieter and more comfortable camping or working environment.
